TLBP, in collaboration with the GTLNC, LAUSD and EnrichLA, implemented a new sustainable garden program at Toluca Lake Elementary School. The project involved the removal of a major section of asphalt and installing an urban garden (irrigation, controllers) as well as instituting an LAUSD accredited “Garden Ranger” program, which provides courses each Friday.

Repurposing a large asphalt area in the main playground to accommodate 12 new raised garden beds, 7 new trees, additional planting areas, seating, and space for programming of the LAUSD Ranger Program.
